Kylteriäiset is an annual autumn event organized by Warrantti for its new students, where the new freshmen officially become full-fledged members of the business student community. During the event, the freshmen are divided into groups for a checkpoint tour, with most of the student associations and other clubs at the University of Vaasa represented at the different checkpoints.
Rannikkoapprot
Rannikkoapprot is the largest student event in Ostrobothnia, bringing together university students from all over Finland to the gem of Finland’s west coast, Vaasa! The event is held every autumn and consists of an appro tour, an event area in Vaasa Market Square, and afterparties. Before the afterparties, participants can also enjoy live performances by various artists at the event area.
Annual Ball
The annual ball is an academic tradition that every student should experience at least once during their university years.
Guests dress according to the formal dress code, wearing a long, elegant evening gown or a tailcoat/dark suit. The evening includes a three-course dinner accompanied by drinks, served in true business student style. After the dinner and dancing, the celebrations continue at the afterparty, which lasts well into the early hours of the morning. But the festivities don’t end there as the programme continues the following morning with a traditional sillis. The annual ball is a two-day event that you are sure to remember as one of the best weekends of your student years!
Wykypäivät
Wykypäivät is a traditional student event in Vaasa that brings together around a thousand students from all over Finland to compete in a checkpoint tour, take a dip in Tropiclandia’s pools with friends, and have a great time. Traditionally held at Tropiclandia Spa, the day starts with the checkpoint tour, continues in the tropical warmth of the spa, and culminates in an epic afterparty.
